We’re back in the Ivory Coast and traveling to many of our projects here in this beautiful country. Well Africa was established to offer an opportunity for children in the Ivory Coast to receive an education. Most children are sold or recruited to farmers to work in the fields harvesting cocoa, the fruit that chocolate is made from.
Well Africa is building a web of businesses and programs to create a self-sustaining structure for the communities and villages so they can afford to keep theeir children in the school system. We are currently constructing the 1st high school in the Ivory Coast that will offer coding certification to its students. This will equip them with a marketable skill without even needing to attend college.
In order to support a system like a high school, we receive accredation from the government for teachers. The local community is constructing the road currently. Women will grow corn on the campus to sell to afford school supplies-think of a community garden.
The school is set to open in late 2024! Exciting things for this community.
